So you own a retail store or two, or maybe even ten. You’re a busy entrepreneur, or perhaps a c-suite executive hired to help take the company to the next level.
Your business may not be the largest retailer in the world but it is JUST AS COMPLEX. The fact that you may have a single location does not mitigate the fact that your business has many departments (marketing, sales, accounting, purchasing, merchandising, facility management, risk management and more). However, what your business likely does NOT have is a separate individual or group of individuals to handle each one of these all important functions. Truth is; you, the owner or manager, wear a number of these hats every, single, day.
So, while you are working 65-75 hours a week, and wearing all of those different hats, we’d wager that TIME is your most coveted commodity. Of course time could be considered the most valuable commodity to ANY person. However, for the owner of a Main Street business, time is as elusive as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Time to work “on the business” rather than “in the business”, is ESPECIALLY elusive.
